Started by Clementi Bonanno in 1910 on 100 acres along the Merrimack River, \u201cThe Bonanno Family Farm\u201d has had many faces over the years. The farm has been involved in dairy, swine, vegetable, and flower production. It is hard to believe that prior to World War II, over 4000 pigs lived on the property.<\/p>\n

Currently, Pleasant Valley Gardens is operated by Richard Bonanno (4th generation), his wife LuAnne Bonanno, daughter Heather Bonanno-Baker (5th generation), and father Angelo Bonanno (3rd generation). We now own about 35 acres and lease another 15 acres at the former DeLucia Farm, now owned by daughter Cara and her husband Mike Griffin also in Methuen. Our greenhouse is open to the public from April – October. We have flowering annuals, vegetable transplants, beautiful hanging baskets and giant tomato plants that make perfect additions to your porch!<\/p>\n

After Thanksgiving, our greenhouses will be filled with Christmas trees and all the decorations.<\/p>\n

As well as our greenhouse plants, we grow potted tulips and fall mums for both retail and wholesale.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p>\n
